A FRIEND FROM ABOVE....

I prayed for you before we met,
Not knowing who you'd be.
I asked the Lord to send a friend.
One chosen just for me.

I asked that they'd be Godly,
With wisdom of His ways.
A friend to help and guide me
I the troubles of these days.

So often in life, we need someone
To listen while we talk.
Someone who will not condemn or judge,
But encourage us as we walk.

The narrow road we choose to follow
May sometimes make us stumble.
But to have a friend to catch our fall,
Teaches us to be humble.

When I asked the Lord to send a friend,
Though many came and went.
He gave much more than I ever asked,
For you are the friend He sent...............

I like holding her hand,
Holding her in my arms
Never wanting to let go
Never saying goodbye,
Wishing the kiss lasted forever.

Her smile brightens my day
And her presence is even greater
For then I know I will always Love her
And with every Hug and Kiss
Our relationship grows stronger.

I feel sad when she cries,
Wanting to make things better,
But all I can do is tell her
That I will always be there.
And I just want her to know
that I will always Love her.

Alone

Purity once had a name,
And beauty once had a face.
Life once had a meaning,
And once I was safe.
Once there was freedom,
And once I could laugh.
Happiness once was alive,
And once I had another half.
Once I shared her love,
Once I was by her side,
Once I felt I fitted,
So quickly that died.
Her grace so great,
Her beauty so vast,
All I ever wanted,
Was for it to last.
Fate maybe had another plan,
Or maybe she had another love,
But it all fell apart,
The hand too big for the glove.
Now it's all died away,
Happiness, joy, love; all memories.
Now I walk alone in this dark, dark world,
With no light to guide my way.

Nobody

Feelings rush inside of me,
ripping my soul apart, wanting to be,

Someone, somebody,
but I'm still nobody.

Days, minutes, seconds tick by,
ready to reach the clouds and fly.

Looking up, calling, pleading for a call,
that never comes, I bend my knees and slowly fall.

Tears cloud in my eyes, making their way down,
people stare, says nothing, but smiles with a frown.

Voices scream in my head, my heart aches, to run and find,
a place, somewhere where I wouldn't be left behind.

Who am I? I call out to the sea,
as if asking them where I can find my destiny.

Dear God, I pray, would you please help me bare?
but I still don't get any sign that he would care.

I wonder how I would get by through another day,
without feeling so far away.

Allah a voice whispers quietly into the night,
I turned my head to look, but it vanished like the speed of light.

Alone and confused I stared at the sky,
than, softly like the wind, came the reply.

That only Allah would help me see
the true person that lives inside of me.

And even though I think I'm a nobody

Her Beauty

My pen hath not the ink,
Nor my mind the wit,
To capture here in verse by my hand,
Her Beauty I behold.

Light from an endless star filled sky,
Her eyes.
Countless summer's warm gentle breeze,
Her whisper.
A thousand crystal cool mountain streams,
Her kiss.
Miles of pure white sand beach,
Her smile.
Wave after wave of crashing crimson tide,
Her passion.
Ranges of majestic snow capped mountains,
Her strength.
Deepest and widest of dark blue oceans,
Her love.

All of Creation itself fails to compare,
In the entire depth of Universe,
No single being past or now resides,
Her Beauty I behold.

No matter what I look like,

Whether pretty or plain you see,

When I’m all dressed up or in PJs,

You just keep on loving me.

Sometimes I’m happy and cheerful;

Other times grumpy and sad;

Your absolute love never wavers,

Whether I’m grouchy or glad.

And sometimes I criticize;

So many words go unspoken,
As we linger here in the dark.

Yet you showed me that they do,
When you came into my life.
You set my soul free,
With every kiss we share.
